As YOU like it!!

Quotes are something that have inspired me,tickled my funny bone, made me face difficult situations with confidence, helped me take life lightly and a lot many other things from my very salad days! So here are some of my favorite quotes:-
  • Don't see others doing better than you.Beat your own records daily because success is a fight between you and yourself.
  • A critic is a legless man who teaches running.
  • Nothing lasts forever. All good things actually come to an end. The friend you trust the most doesn't remain the same way forever, the feeling you get after getting a new job deceases, the sweet days of childhood dies fast, the wonderful feeling of falling in love perishes eventually....nothing truly lasts forever..nothing at all.
  • Why trudge through the sludge or walk through a tangled maze if it's possible to walk around? Happiness can be often increased by avoiding the unnecessary.
  • Finish each day and be done with it.. You have done what you could. Some blenders and absurdities did creep in. Forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow will be a new day. Begin it serenely and too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
  • If you love something let it go. If it comes back to you it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was and it's not meant to be.
  • Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over,it became a butterfly.
  • She will chase you around for a while; but there's gonna be a day when she would stop running in circles around you. She is going to get over you and at that very moment you are going to wish you had let her catch you.

Multi-tasking A.K.A. screwing up everything!

I have always thought of becoming this one person who would be adroit at everything..so it was one of those Sundays while i was returning from my tuition, one of my friends startd askin "heyy u interested in teaching foreign students? dere s dis one site cld tutorvista..where u cud earn thousands !!" And naturally I started feeling wow! I was utterly impressed by her idea as I was actually searching for a tuition(i.e to teach somebody). After reaching home, the first thing I did was logging in to tutorvista.com..even took a test there..passed it and got a reply to sit for an interview! With that reply came some conditions too..."Every tutor will have to teach for atleast 4 hrs." :O :O
First thought-"Ohh thats nuthin! I will manage no matter what!"
A friend calls me up...
Friend-"Do you hv a driving license? they hv askd for it"
Tongue-"No..but college id wud do!"
Mind-"Wat d hell wud dey do wid a driving license? wud i b teaching maths or giving them driving lessons?"
Friend-"U hv ur tuitions too..hw r u going to devote those 4 hrs?"
MIND+TONGUE-"Gosh! I neva thot abt it..shit its neva gonna happen...i need to set my priorities first..GATE is far more important than al dis"

Well if you think that juggling a lot many things can make you a superman, you are wrong!! Multi-tasking can be one hell of a chore to be perfect at though being so very revered in our society. It could be really dangerous as it mostly leads to mediocrity at all the things you are juggling with and excellence at none! It happens to almost everyone of us that we find our keys missing or id cards missing! Havent you ever sent a text message to the wrong person? All this could have happened due to the distractions u were having while you were placing those keys or id cards sumwhere or texting sumone!!
The term "multitasking" originated in the computer engineering industry. It was used to refer the ability of a microprocessor to apparently process several tasks simultaneously. Although it proved to be very efficient for computers, it is a bit too risky for human beings. Focusing and multi-tasking can never be done congruously. When one portion of our brain tries focusing on something, the other pings- "Have u bought mum's bday gift?" or "When will you complete your assignment?" or "When will you write your journal?" etc! This leads to nothing but as they say-

“Multi-tasking - Screwing everything up simultaneously.”

The key is to plan everything beforehand and staying organized. Making a list of the things to do and allocating a certain amount of time to each listed thing can prove to be very beneficial. One can then easily focus on the thing at hand and after successfully completing it can move on to the next! So make that multi-tasking~ planned-tasking and bask in its glory! :)
